Soon after, I was accepted into the Teaching Fellows Program, where I taught kindergarten full time at Carrollton Elementary School and worked on my Master's degree. I graduated with my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia in 2007. I decided to further my education in 2012 and graduated with my Specialist's Degree in Teacher Leadership from Piedmont College in 2013.

This is my twelfth year teaching, and my eleventh year at Ithica Elementary School. I taught kindergarten for three years, after which I looped with my class to first grade. I have been in first grade ever since and love it!

When I am not at school, I love to spend time with my family! I have been married to my wonderful husband, Cory, for eleven years. We have three amazing children, Ella (8), Cale (6), and Hadley (3).
