 Proposed Field Trips

(Pending approval from the Carroll County school board):

October 16- Stone Mountain Park (all grades)

March 2010- 4th and 5th grade students to the National Science Center for     an overnight field trip at Fort Discovery in Augusta, GA (not a set    date yet)

May 2010- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students to the Georgia Aquarium for an       overnight field trip and behind the scenes tour (not a set date yet)

Curriculum

I have divided the first semester into various units for differentiated studies. In QUEST, I have students with many different learning styles and varied interests.

 

August- September: Inventors and Inventions Unit (Invent America                             Project and WebQuest)

October: Wild Things Unit (Read and study Where the Wild Things Are and                   take a Saturday field trip to view the movie in theaters in late                     October)

November: Economics Unit (Classroom money system and sale)
