West Georgia RESA Winner

Shelby McGarva was recently named a young Author Winner for the West Georgia area. She is pictured with Mr. Zauner as he congratulated her for this big accomplishment.

2008 Carroll County Young Georgia Author Winner

Shelby McGarvia in Mrs. Crider’s First Grade class was named the overall First Grade Winner of 2008 Young Georgia Authors’ Writing Competition for all of Carroll County.

IES Spelling Bee Champions

Jr. Beta Spelling Bee Winner

Sam Thomas, a fifth grade student at Ithica, was named the Spelling Bee winner for all elementary schools at the Jr. Beta Convention held in Macon, Ga. He placed fifth in the overall competition of elementary and middle schools.

Relay for Life

IES raised $3,500 for Relay for Life this year! This deserves big congratulations to our students and faculty. This is an all time record for our school and took a tremendous amount of heart felt work.

Jump Rope for Heart

IES raised $7,561.36 for Jump Rope for Heart this year! Jordan Eaves, a second grade student in Mrs. Monroe’s class, was the top seller.

IES Academic Team Takes Third Place

Our Academic team took third place in the Carroll County Meet.

4th Grade Math Competition Team

This year IES had a fourth grade math team that competed against 900 Georgia students in March. Six of our students made it to the top 150 and three made it to the top 40!
