I love teaching STEM in the Learning Lab!
After graduating from Griffin High in 1991, I moved on to Gordan Jr. College for one semester then to North Georgia College where I graduated in December of 1995 with my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. I then married my wonderful husband, David, and moved to the West Georgia area. After working with Carrollton City Afterschool and the University of West Georgia Child Development Center as a graduate assistant in the 3 year old Pre-K program for 2 years I graduated with a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education in the spring of 1998.
I started working for Carroll County School System in the Fall of 1998 at Villa Rica Primary then moved to Ithica Elementary when the school was established. I taught Kindergarten for 11 years followed by Pre-K for 10 years. I added my science endorsment and I am now having a great time teaching STEM in the Learning Lab and watching my 3 wonderful children, Seth, Sidney, and Robert grow in our great Villa Rica cluster.
