I received my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from the University of North Alabama.  I obtained my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with a concentration on reading, from Coppin State University.

This is my 24th year of teaching.  I have taught Special Education, EIP, 1st Grade, and 4th Grade.  I spent my first 12 years in Paulding County, at Shelton and Nebo Elementaries.  The remainder of my carreer has been in Carroll County, including 3 years at Sand Hill and I am now in my 9th year as a Titan!

I am now in my 24th year of teaching, and I can't imaging doing anything other than education!  I love watching students learn new things and develop a life-long desire to learn more.

I have been married to my "high school sweetheart", Greg, for 23 years.  He is a Lieutentant with the City of Douglasville Police Dept.  We have two amazing children!  Karlie is a Junior at Georgia Southern University (Go Eagles!), and Chad is a Senior at Villa Rica High School (We are VR!).  Both of my children attended school in the VR cluster, and Chad is a former Titan.  As a family, we are active in the community and our church, Flat Rock Baptist.

I also coach cheerlading at VRHS.  I "bleed purple and gold" and believe whole-heartedly in our VR Community. I encourage you all to get involved in not just the events at IES, but our community as a whole.
