Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (certified K-8) from Wayne State University

Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction  from American Intercontinental University

This year marks my 11th year teaching in Georgia.  I taught for the Douglas County School System for 9 years.  This is my 2nd year teaching for the Carroll County School District.

During my teaching career, I have taught all K-5 grades.  I've had 1st and 3rd grade homerooms for many years.  I've also been a Technology teacher and grades 3rd - 5th EIP teacher.  In addition, I've had the joy of being a Stem Teacher for students in grades 3rd -5th.

Welcome to 5th Grade!

Welcome to 5th Grade! My name is Mrs. Turner and I am so excited to be your teacher this year!  I have an Extraordinary Love for Math and Science.  I can't wait to share that excitement with you!

Here's a little bit about Me:

I am originally from Michigan. However, I LOVE Georgia!  I live in Villa Rica with my husband and our children.  I have 3 daughters that attend Ithica Elementary with me. I also have a son that is starting his 1st year of college this year.

I love to read, shop and exercise!  My favorite food is Japanese and my favorite color is Fuchsia! I can't wait to learn the favorites of ALL of my students!

We will have an AWESOME YEAR!!!!
