Assistant Principal

Ashley Tolbert

Hello! I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Ithica Elementary. My entire education career has been in the Villa Rica cluster, where I reside with my family, and I am excited for the opportunity to continue to make a difference in our amazing community.  I received both my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, and my Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of West Georgia, Go Wolves! I plan to pursue my Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership at UWG as well in the near future. I have had the privilege of teaching almost every grade level in elementary, and have worked as a general education teacher, a special education teacher, an in-school coordinator for special education, and an instructional coach. My educational experiences have allowed me to see first hand the amazing impact we, as educators, get to make in the lives of our students, and I am passionate about providing premier educational experiences for ALL students. I am a firm believer that elementary school should not only equip our children with the crucial skills that they need in order to thrive and be successful in life, but should also be fun and welcoming. It is my hope that our Ithica Titans wake up each morning and are excited to enter doors. I have been married for 8 years to my wonderful husband, Robert Tolbert, who is also an assistant principal, and together we have two wonderful children, Nora and Jameson, who will be attending Ithica Elementary this year. I look forward to continuing on the tradition of excellence here at IES!
