Welcome to Ithica Elementary School at Graben-Garrett Farm!  We are public elementary school located in Villa Rica, Georgia, about 45 minutes west of Atlanta.  Ithica Elementary, a Title I school, is one of four elementary schools in the Villa Rica cluster of the Carroll County School system.  Our school serves over 800 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade with approximately 100 highly qualified teachers and staff members.

Ithica Elementary implements the Georgia Performance standards, as measured by the College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI) with an emphasis on literacy and math.  We are also a STEM based 21st century learning school that prides ourselves on meeting the needs of our diverse learners.  We have been designated as a Georgia Department of Education Distinguished school for our top 5% performance, honored numerous times for our academic achievements, and are recognized as a National STEM school. Evidence of our high expectations, student engagement, and rigorous instruction can be see in all content areas and classrooms on our campus.  

At Ithica Elementary, we strive to use our head, heart, and hands in all that we do!  Our daily school motto is "We use our head to show we are responsible, our hearts to show we are respectful, and our hands for positive action."  We encourage students to become creative thinkers, decision-makers, helpful citizens, problem solvers, and, ultimately, world changers.  Through goal setting, we help students feel successful and achieve academic excellence.  The faculty and staff at IES work alongside parents, community members, and business stakeholders to empower ALL students to reach their highest potential and build a foundation for lifelong learning.  In addition to academic excellence, we pride ourselves on being more than just academics.  We offer over 20 different extracurricular activities in which our students can participate.  From the Baby Bolts dance team to Science Olympiad to Road Runners and everything in between, we are confident that students will find a place where they can find their passion.
